Molly Thompson M.S. CCC-SLP is a sole proprietor and is fortunate to share an office with a collaborative group of dedicated therapists in speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy.
She received her Bachelor's degree in 1983 from the University of Iowa and Master's Degree in 1985 from Minot State University. She received the honor of becoming an ASHA Fellow in 2015. She has extensive training in language and learning disabilities, language processing and speech/articulation disorders. She enjoys the challenge of children needing help with profound speech disorders for any number of reasons, or reasons unknown (example, apraxia, cerebral palsy) and less complex, but still challenging, s,r and l. She has spent extra study and training in the learning and language of children with Down syndrome.
Molly has had extensive continuing education over the years and has many tips and tricks in her therapy tool kit. She rarely does specific programs with her clients, believing that programs are more difficulty to individualize to the child. That said, she is certified in LSVT-LOUD, a program she has found is successful with children with dysarthria resulting from brain trauma or cerebral palsy. She has published articles and presents on language, child speech-language development, Down Syndrome and speech-language as well as language processing.
Molly is a sole proprietor that has the wonderful opportunity if working in a collaborative group.
